Based on an research project that is both ambitious and exigent as to the quality of the selected works, the goal of the record label “La Boîte à Pépites” is to shine a light on works that have never (or almost never) been recorded.
Far from the fashionable interest in “women composers”, for which the theme of “women” suffices to select concert or CD programmes, our label places the accent squarely on the compositions themselves, uniting a group of musicians in a common project :
“ The composer is placed at the very centre of the project, and we, the musicians, place ourselves together at the service of her music.”

MONOGRAPH
A group of musicians rehabilitate forgotten works
Charlotte Sohy brought to life thirty-five compositions for every kind of musical formation, of which fifteen, never previously recorded, are in this album. The record label La Boîte à Pépites grew out of the YouTube channel of the same name and the Festival Un Temps pour Elles. This album is the first release of a collection destined to bring to light a plethora of forgotten works by women composers.
