A book can be read, a picture looked at, but music, if it is never played or recorded, doesn’t exist.

The foundation stone of all the actions undertaken by our association is the research project consisting of exhuming manuscripts and deciphering scores, a task performed by a group of prestigious musicians.

There are organised sessions of “readings” of manuscripts or first editions. Before ever reaching the group’s music stands, the music being read has often been the object of a real treasure hunt leading through international libraries, publishers’ archives and the attics of descendants.

Starting from the discoveries of the research group, the association develops a series of activities with the purpose of allowing as many people as possible to be able to appreciate this unheard repertory.

Having a high degree of exigency concerning the works selected for public performance, and entrusting the task of performing them to great musicians and rising young talents, increases their chance of being played again, outside of the framework of our association.
