MARIANNE CROUX

French-Belgian soprano Marianne Croux graduated from the CNSM in Paris with a Master’s degree in singing. After being distinguished as “lyrical revelation” by the ADAMI in 2017, she enters the Academy of the Opéra National de Paris from 2017 to 2019. She received an award at the 2018 Queen Elisabeth Competition and was elevated to the rank of Officer of Walloon Merit by the Belgian government. She is a laureate of the Académie d’Aix-en-Provence 2021 and distinguished herself in the final round of the Belvedere Hans Gabor Competition 2022. Regularly engaged by the Opéra de National de Paris, she sings Stravinsky’s Noces, Ravel’s L’enfant et les Sortilèges, Shostakovitch’s Lady Macbeth of Mzensk, Glück’s Iphigénie en Tauride, Bernstein’s A Quiet Place and Strauss’s Elektra. She made her debut at the Rome Opera with the sparkling Zerlina and the Capitole gave a warm welcome to her valiant Micaëla. Marianne invested herself in music and contemporary creation. Thus, she sings in Iliade l’amour by Besty Jolas, Reigen by Boesmans, Le Premier cercle by Gilbert Amy. Damien Lehman dedicated to her the role of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel. In chamber music, Marianne regularly collaborates with the pianists Florence Boissolle, Anne Le Bozec and Anne Bertin-Hugault with whom she made the first recording of Rita Strohl’s Douze Chants de Bilitis. Marianne will sing at the Escapades musicales d’Arcachon on July 8, at the Montperreux lyric festival on July 15, for the Centenary of the Villa Noailles on July 31, and will join Micaëla at the Festival de Saint-Céré from August 9 to 12. Her 23-24 season will be marked by two highly anticipated roles with Blanche de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc at the Massy Opera and Nedda in Pagliacci at the Toulon Opera.

PIERRE FOUCHENNERET

A child prodigy, Pierre Fouchenneret received his first prize in violin and chamber music at the age of 16 at the Paris Conservatory of Music in the classes of Olivier Charlier and Daria Hovora. He then won the Grand Prize of the Bordeaux International Chamber Music Competition, the Georges Enesco Grand Prize of the Sacem, and became a laureate of the Natixis Foundation and an associate artist of the Singer Polignac Foundation.
An insatiable artist, with a discography of more than twenty discs, Pierre Fouchenneret dedicates several years of his life to the work of a composer, surrounding himself with the finest chamber musicians to, most often, record a his or her complete works. In 2016, he recorded for Aparte the complete sonatas for violin and piano by Beethoven with Romain Descharmes. In 2018, the first volume of the complete chamber music of Gabriel Fauré with Simon Zaoui and Raphaël Merlin was released. He has also embarked with the Strada Quartet, Eric Lesage, Florent Pujuila, Adrien Boisseau… on the mad project of recording all of Brahms’s chamber music, released by B-Records during the 2018 to 2021 seasons. In the spring of 2020, his recording of Schubert’s and Raphaël Merlin’s octets and will be released, where he plays alongside Nicolas Baldeyrou, David Guerrier and Marc Desmons.
Invited to perform all over the world, he has performed with exceptional musicians such as the Fine Art Quartet, Jean-François Heisser, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Zongh Xu, Julien Leroy, Nicolas Angelich… and founded in 2013 the Strada Quartet with Sarah Nemtanu, Lise Berthaud and François Salque.
A complete artist, Pierre Fouchenneret is recognized by French and international orchestras for his audacity and his vision of the repertoire. He has been invited to play with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Bordeaux, the Brno Philharmonic, the Nice and Strasbourg Philharmonics, the Saint Petersburg Baltic and the Orchestre de Chambre Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

THÉO FOUCHENNERET

Théo Fouchenneret won the first prize at the Geneva International Competition in November 2018 before being named “instrumental soloist revelation” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. The same year he won the 1st prize as well as five special prizes at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition with the Messiaen Trio.
Applauded by great halls and international festivals, he also performs with internationally renowned musicians: Victor Julien-Laferrière, Renaud Capuçon, François Salque, Lise Berthaud, Svetlin Roussev…
In March 2020, he released his first solo CD with La Dolce Volta, a recording devoted to Beethoven’s great Waldstein and Hammerklavier sonatas. Theo is also a sought-after chamber musician, as evidenced by his extensive discography with musicians such as Eric Le Sage, Tatsuki Narita, the Messiaen Trio and Raphaël Sévère, the Xenakis Trio and Philippe Hattat.
The young pianist will dedicate his next solo recording to Gabriel Fauré.
Théo is also the initiator of a project to record Robert Schumann’s complete chamber works, which will begin with the pieces for violin and piano, alongside his brother Pierre Fouchenneret.
